What Is Relay for Life?
Relay for Life is a cornerstone fundraising event for the American Cancer Society. Relays take place across the country, bringing communities together in support of cancer research, education, and services for individuals and families impacted by the disease.
Participants at the relay take turns walking the track throughout the 12-hour event, symbolizing the reality that cancer never rests. The funds raised go directly to the American Cancer Society to support:

Services for individuals and families navigating a cancer diagnosis
This year marks the second annual Relay for Life of Stafford, an event that has quickly become an important gathering for the local community. The Chairperson, a longtime Relay participant with over 15 years of involvement, stepped into leadership after her husband’s cancer diagnosis in 2023, channeling personal experience into a commitment to grow the event into a larger community effort.
Her vision is to bring together families, schools, businesses, and organizations with a united purpose: supporting those affected by cancer and funding the research needed to create more survivors.

The Relay for Life of Stafford offers opportunities for businesses to show their support while gaining visibility within the community.
For a $100 sponsorship, businesses can:
Have a sign displayed around the track with their business name
Receive recognition from the event DJ throughout the day
This sponsorship level provides an accessible way for local businesses to contribute to a meaningful cause while connecting with community members attending the event.
